Purpose of the position
To manage and supervise the incorporation and use of financial, human and material resources of Ayuda en Acción de Mozambique according to the principles of transparency, quality, austerity and efficiency that the organization promotes, always ensuring the best management of the entity's assets.
Collaborate in the achievement of the Organization's objectives and promote the implementation and execution of institutional processes in Mozambique, in coordination with the teams at the Spanish headquarters and the Mozambique National Program team.
Responsibilities
Manage the financial, human and material resources of the institution in compliance with the law and the control systems in place.
In coordination with the other people responsible for Action Aid in Mozambique and the team at Headquarters, ensure adequate resources for the efficient fulfillment of the entity's founding objectives.
Manage the human resources of Ayuda en Acción de Mozambique: selection, incorporation, payment of salaries, training, temporary leaves, termination of the labour relationship, etc. in strict compliance with the applicable regulations.
Supervise and manage the acquisition of goods and the contracting of works and services in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
Coordinate the processes of budgeting, execution and control of the financial resources provided by Mozambique Action Aid.
Supervise and manage the institutional treasury, as well as the preparation and updating of the inventory of goods.
To periodically prepare the financial statements in accordance with the legal and tax regulations and the accounting principles and standards in force in the country, ensuring their compliance with IFRS.
To supervise the correct execution of the financial, accounting and administrative processes that are subcontracted to third parties, so that they respond to the needs of Aid in Action in Mozambique and are provided in a timely manner.
To periodically report - through the established channels and the relevant tools - the accounting and financial statements to the Ayuda en Acción Foundation.
To ensure compliance with all legal and tax obligations of the institution in accordance with the requirements and regulations of the institution itself, as well as all relevant public and private bodies.
Control and monitoring of the execution of funds allocated by Ayuda en Acción de Mozambique for the implementation of projects, whether these are managed by Ayuda en Acción de Mozambique or by Local Partners.
Coordinate the monitoring, supervision and administrative-financial audit of the institution.

Knowledge and experience
Desirable: Certified Public Accountant (OCAM)
Superior studies of Audit, Economy, Business Administration or Accounting.
Experience of at least 5 years in similar positions in international cooperation organizations.
Advanced knowledge of accounting, treasury management, tax and budget management.
Knowledge of the current labour, tax and contractual legal framework.
Experience in project management with international donors (AECID, EU, etc.)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet: advanced Excel
Knowledge of ERP, knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
Valid driver's license (valuable).
Skills and competences
Ability to interact and build and maintain effective relationships with the Organization's staff and external partners.
Valuable Portuguese (spoken and written). Communication skills and English and Macua is a plus.
